Welcome to my site. I’m Daria. I’m Jersey-born and raised, addicted to potato chips, and vegan since Thanksgiving 2009. I have a potty mouth, but I’m trying to work on that.
I’ve had some sort of web presence since 1997 or so, when I had a Geocities website and a Deborah Gibson fanpage. I didn’t start blogging till the fall of 2001, but I’ve been at it – to varying degrees – ever since. I was once an internet radio DJ – if you tuned in to my weekly radio show, you’d hear staples such as Bif Naked‘s “I Love Myself Today” and the Bastard Fairies‘ “We’re All Going to Hell.” I think that tells you more than you might think.
A self-described “plethora of useless information,” I have always been a pop culture junkie (I’m trying to quit!). I love the Beatles, John Hughes films, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and LOST (yes, even the finale). I loathe the Twilight “saga,” most country music, gore in film and television, and dancing in public.
I’m a reformed burger queen and a rescue beagle’s human. I’m trying to live by the motto: “Do as little harm as possible,” and trying not to let others define me.
